Whenever I need to reset, the Camden Waterfront is one of the places I go. It gives me space to breathe, create, and clear my head. On this outing, I brought along my Canon R6 with the RF 24–105mm f/4 L lens, as well as the Insta360 One X3. Between the sharp detail of the R6 and the immersive perspective of the 360 camera, I was able to capture the waterfront in a way that felt both personal and expansive.
The Camden Waterfront is full of attractions and visual stories to capture:
Battleship New Jersey: A towering reminder of history, docked right along the Delaware River. It’s hard not to stop and take in its scale.
Philadelphia Skyline Views: The open stretches of riverwalk give you a perfect angle to frame Philly in the distance, especially when the light hits just right.
Adventure Aquarium: Families and tourists gather here, but from the outside, it’s the mix of people and energy that makes it fun to shoot.
Freedom Mortgage Pavilion: Even when it’s quiet, you can feel the anticipation of the concerts and events that bring it alive in the summer.
Statues and Memorials: The sculptures scattered through the park add character and depth, perfect for experimenting with composition.
Street Art & Murals: I came across a colorful “Camden” wall that adds grit and personality to the city’s identity.
What I enjoy most about shooting here is the variety. One moment you’re capturing the serenity of the water and skyline, the next you’re photographing historic landmarks or urban textures. It keeps me moving, thinking, and experimenting with different angles.
I also put together a short video from this trip. You can check it out here: Watch on YouTube.
This page has become my outlet for reflection. The photos are part of the story, but the writing is just as important. Most people may scroll through the images, but for me, sharing my thoughts is what makes this page therapeutic. The Camden Waterfront gave me the reset I needed, and these photos are a window into that experience.
